By Matthew Snook

GENRE: Comedy, Drama
LOGLINE:

Returning home after a harsh breakup with his boyfriend of seven years, Jason Stills reconnects with his over the top family all while trying to restart his life. He must come to learn that no matter how dysfunctional his family is, at the end of the day, they're still family.

SYNOPSIS:

Jason Stills, a twenty-six year old literary agent at a large New York agency, receives a manuscript with a dedication to his boyfriend of seven years. He quickly discovers that not only is his boyfriend cheating on him, but it's been going on for three years. He takes time off from his job and returns to his hometown, a small town in the middle of nowhere Iowa, to try and figure out his life. Despite his eccentric, dysfunctional family, he makes the decision to buy a local bookstore called "A Likely Story" from his old mentor who is retiring and closing the store. Taking over the store proves to be quite the challenge, though the challenges have nothing to do with running the business and everything to do with his over the top family, small town drama and the lack of a love life. Despite the hectic small town life, he actually enjoys the small town pace and running "A Likely Story". Though, somehow, he ends up getting pulled into the middle of everything that happens, no matter how hard he tries to avoid it.
