Excellent blog post that I needed to read today. I started my writing journey this past summer, so your words spoke to my heart. Congratulations on your success, and I can't wait to see what you do next.
Thanks, Erica! I'm cheering you on as you continue on in this writing journey :)

Watched an interesting documentary on the history of Found Footage Horror. It is on Shudder.

Expand commentHi everyone. It was very nice to meet you. Very excited for today's class. Karina asked me to share some recommendations for Turkish horror movies. Here is my shortlist:
Inflame (2017)
Baskin (2015)
The Little Apocalypse (2006)
Naciye (2015)
The Voice (2010)
Helak: Kayip Koy (2015)
Htr2b (2012)
I like realistic horror rather than supernatural. That's why my recommendations are mostly realistic. If you are interested in supernatural, these are famous directors that make supernatural horror in Turkey (but kindly keep in mind that they make movies on djinni and black magic with references to Islam)
(Siccin Series) Alper Mestçi
(Dabbe Series) Hasan Karacadağ
(Deccal Series) Özgür Bakar
Shudder is an excellent streaming channel for rarely seen indie horror films. I really enjoy their documentary series like Leap of Faith: William Friedkin on the Exorcist (one of my favorite directors) and Cursed Films. Highly recommended.

The Cats is a gothic horror, magical realism, limited series. Inspired by the mysterious magic of Bolivian Amazonian folk tales.
It follows VALDEMAR, an alcoholic writer who has been chosen by Death to narrate horrifying and magical events during the “Hemorrhagic Fever” epidemic. It was produced by an unknown virus, wreaking havoc on the entire lives of San Joaquin, a small Bolivian rural town, between 1959 and 1963.
Everyone in here has such interesting ideas. I hope we all continue to hold one another accountable and even meet periodically to check in.
Cool story Juan! Latinx power in the house :)
Just wanted to break the ice. Feels like a spooky ghost town in here!
Hi! I hope everyone is having a good week.
How are those bloglines going?
Slowly but surely. I did a rough pass but decided to work on the season outline a bit more before coming back to it. Engine, theme, and why now are definitely new for me in terms of loglines.
I did 2 iterations of my logline but I am doing some additional research because I feel like the overall concept is not hitting the mark.

This is a network for you, built by you. Like most things in life, the more you participate, the greater the rewards. We ask all new members to pay it forward by inviting 5 fellow creatives to the network and by spreading the word of Stage 32 through other social media sites such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter. The more creatives, the stronger the network. The stronger the network, the more opportunities.
Thanks for joining the movement and for being a part of this most talented and inspiring community. I very much look forward to your contributions.
Thanks, and have a creative day!
