A graduate of AFI and a previous apprentice of Editor John Axelrad, Kayla was named someone to watch in VARIETY’S BELOW THE LINE IMPACT REPORT and STAGE 32 WOMEN TRAILBLAZERS.

Kayla’s feature work as an Editor includes THE IMMIGRANT from director James Gray. The film premiered at Cannes; Don Cheadle’s critically acclaimed MILES DAVIS BIOPIC, MILES AHEAD for Sony Pictures Classics; Lorene Scafaria directed dramedy THE MEDDLER. The film premiered at TIFF and starred Susan Sarandon, J.K. Simmons, and Rose Byrne; Lake Bell’s sophomore directorial feature I DO... UNTIL I DON’T, which stars Lake Bell, Ed Helms, and Mary Steenburgen; The Netflix feature CANDY JAR directed by Ben Shelton. RIDE directed by Jeremy Ungar for Unified Pictures and RLJ Entertainment, starring Bella Thorne.
