About Esosa

Esosa E. is an award winning Producer, Writer, Actress, Health Expert, and Fashion Designer who was recently named an "Afro-Renaissance Woman" by the Weekend Argus, and featured in The Root's List of "10 African Artists and Entrepreneurs You Should Know." Currently she serves as Associate Producer and plays the role of Ngozi on the global hit TV and web series An African City which has been featured by the Hollywood Reporter, New York Times, BBC, NPR, CNN, Elle, Essence, Glamour, and many more news outlets worldwide. She is currently producing and attached to star in a number of different film and television projects with acclaimed filmmakers worldwide including Rise of the Orisha, a superhero movie franchise inspired by African mythology. In March 2017, her one woman play about the first female Pharaoh of Egypt, The Woman Who Would Be King, will debut at the Smithsonian Museum of African Art. She is currently looking for corporate sponsors, donors, business sponsors for that project.

Actress Esosa Edosomwan, dressed in suit and tie, delivers Stokes' statements. The footage of Stokes and filmed performance of Edosomwan is rendered in split screen and combined with footage/reportage from the streets. The film was a commission of IFFR's Meet the Maestro homage to the films of Gus Van Sant and was a featured work in the 2008 Whitney Biennial in New York City.
