About Andy

Hello My name is Andy Le, nice to meet you!
Age: 24
Ethnicity: Vietnamese
I am currently living in Santa Monica, California. I'm original from Seattle, Washington and move down here not to long ago (December 17, 2017). I made a big leap with a friend of mine to come down here and chase our dreams. I'm an aspiring filmmaker and writer. I'm currently looking for a job, as a P.A or being part of a crew.

Here my story:
All my life, I thought I want to grow up and one day become a detective or cop. Seeing all these action movie and murder mystery, really gave this push that I can help people and solve crime. Get high school done and go to the police academy and slowly but surely make my way up to becoming a detective.
But high school came along. Most people usually go to college to figure out what they want to do with their life. But somehow filmmaking just felt right for me. It started with a science project. Long story short, I got stuck doing some editing while my lab partner went to hang out with some friends. At first I thought it would be hard and I would hate it...But for some reason I ENJOY and LOVE every minute of it.
Fast foward a couple days and we have a freshmen meeting. The teacher were giving out awards and out of nowhere I hear my name. Shock and surprise I went up there to get it. On the award it say "For unrecognized skill in editing". Might not seem big to most people but it was for me. It gave me a push to tell myself I can do this.
Fast forward to sopohmore year in high school. Its during this time that student sophomore and up get to learn about filmmaking class and I can't tell you how much I fell in love with this class. By the end of the year the teacher let us do our own project using a canon 60D. and a bunch of other tools that make it feel like a small production team. On the last day of school everyone got their film play, and we get to choice a winner. Yes I won for best comedy film that year at my school. And that gave me even more believe in myself to go and become a filmmaker.
My junior year I was able to do more film and got to win comedy again and action this time. While my senior year I got to win drama. My last two years of high school. All I can focus on was wanting to live my dream as a filmmaker.
Eventually high school is over and most of my friends are in college. I was in the other hand working. Jumping from job to job because no matter what I felt like I didn't fit in. I went to arts institute in Seattle for a short time, but the same thing happen. Didn't fit in to it. Try making friends but a lot of people were more focus on their work then to socialize.
Was able to get. job at a movie theatre. Regal movie. and I for the first time actually enjoy myself. Got to meet a lot of cool and amazing people. Who some have the same interest as me.
So one day I meet a friend who was planning to move to L.A. His plan was to become an actor, and it gave me this spark that I can go to L.A with him and we can help each other out. Long story short again. I'm living with him and another friend who decide to also want to become and actor.
P.s I'm not just trying to live my dream for me. But to my parent who gave so much of their time to see me do this, and to the family and friends who also believe in me back home.

Message of the story:
Chase after you're dream no matter how big and scary it is. You never know whats gonna happen and who you're going to meet.
