Ellen Shorrock

Ellen joined her local theatre group in Ilkley in 2007, she only wanted to paint scenery but after an audition landed a part in their production of NJ Crisp's three handed thriller "Dangerous Obsession", perhaps because she was the only person willing to wear a swimming costume onstage in the dead of winter, although she hopes it had something to do with her ability.
After acting in a variety of roles there she started to branch out to work with other groups in Bradford and Leeds featuring new writing, this in turn led to her role last year in Edinburgh as the domineering mother in Jan Perry's award winning play "Click!". which she counts as one of her acting highlights along with playing a hysterical mother in Ilkley Playhouse's award winning production of "The Crucible" at the Minack theatre in Cornwall and earlier this year mixing the role of a Jewish mother with being a loud mouthed rowdy supporter in Red ladder's "Promised Land".
Over the years she has also done voice overs for animations which have included being a sexy banana and a latex clad dominatrix called Ms Swat, another mother role in "Croatian Tales of Long Ago" and she is currently recording a variety of voices for two "Skyrim" modifications - enjoying the challenge of being a tavern wench one minute and an Argonian (Lizard) warrior the next.
