WHEN I THINK OF MY MOM OPTIONED
By Tasha Lewis 2

GENRE: Family
LOGLINE: When I think of my mom, so many fond memories come to mind: nursing me: dancing with me in her stomach: reading to me: rocking me to sleep: Or when my brothers, who are now both on the board of directors of The Shoshannah Judah, Donna Seales and Bonnie Alexander Scholarship Fund, decided to let me hangout with them when we lived in the islands; we would walk from one side of the island to the other side of the island. (As we reflect on being thankful on Thanksgiving, I would like to share some quality times with family.

SYNOPSIS:

Mothers are a girl’s best friend. So when my mom died right after receiving her flowers during the week of Mother’s Day, when I had all these commitments, imagine the lasting effects. Whether your baking in the kitchen or lying on a beach together, you and your mom are enjoying each other’s company. Both of which my mom and I did often. I love when we took Belly Dance classes at the hotel in the Virgin Islands where she taught Yoga and Meditation classes. I ended up being one of the best dancers in the class. We went for a long walk after the classes. Unconditional love is the bond that links you together forever. Like when we made a music video together on vacation in Florida. I kept looking back at my mom playing the guitar with a big smile on my face as I pretended to sing a song. Or when we vacationed in Ocho Rios, Jamaica at Sea Palms. The three years, from the age of 20 to 23, that I lived with and took care of my mom were some of the most memorable years in my life. If you ever get the chance to open a Hyatt as an employee, you should. The relationships that you build have lifetime value no matter where life takes you. My mom and I shared many first at the one that I was blessed to open. A dance contest (For the movie Star Dancer) that I won by putting all of my dance training (https://dctheaterarts.org/2024/02/28/speak-the-names-tell-the-stories-pa...) and Wolfson Dance Company to work. My mom met Laverne Reed after my performances in her musical production “Black Orpheus.” Experience of phenomenal cuisine daily and real friendships that stay with you forever. The hotel’s design was based on the Alhambra Castle in Spain where I visited and did an interview (https://www.FEDELE.org) in the garden. My brother had the opportunity to stay at the Hyatt Regency Baltimore Inner Habour with his former wife on his honeymoon and took the cover photo of Searching for the Perfect Place which includes a photo the morning after that stay. He’s also a member of the board of directors of the Shoshannah Judah, Donna Seales and Bonnie Alexander Scholarship Fund which bares the name of our late mom, late sister and late close family friend. Our family on the west coast are also members of the board of directors. Today’s theme When you didn’t get booked Project Howard Huntsberry Video on my profile page My agent sent me for the role as the girlfriend. Didn’t get casted. The agent called my mom and said they wanted me to come and be an extra. My mom tracked me down at my college during a dance rehearsal. I arrived and while getting my hair and makeup done, I told them I was a professional dancer. One of the producers, Larry Blackman of Cameo, came over asked me was “I professional dancer”and I said “yes.” I ended up getting more opportunities on camera than the girlfriend.
