How does a small, peaceful town in the North Carolina mountains begin to deal with the racial and cultural changes of the early 1960’s? Some fought change, some brought change. Two farmers, one white and one black, thought a marijuana farm might help. An old world was fading and a new, better one taking its place, but the challenges were real and personal and success was not at all certain, thanks to the dark hearts of the KKK.
