This is a network for you, built by you. Like most things in life, the more you participate, the greater the rewards. We ask all new members pay it forward and invite at least 5 fellow creatives and to spread the word of Stage 32 through other social media sites such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter. You can also invite fellow creatives through the site by using the "Send Stage 32 Invites..." button on the upper right side of your profile. The more creatives, the stronger the network. The stronger the network, the more opportunities. Thanks for joining the movement and for being a part of this most talented and inspiring community. Would that be classed as distribution ? We have estimated that we can add $70 million in "Clear Profit" to the existing Box Office Turnover of $160 million in the South African market. What of the rest of Africa. Who says Cinemas are a dying breed. Not in Africa !
Sounds like a great plan, John. And if you turn.some of those profits around into producing your own movies, you can both increase your marketability and contribute to South African cinema as a whole...

Expand commentWe have an audience of 40 million people who have never had ready access to cinemas and are starved of good entertainment. This is contributing to the rampant piracy of films at the cost of copyright holders and artists. The current legislative solution seems not to be working. How about making the films available at vastly reduced prices, and thus filling the few cinemas that are still left, or better yet? Opening thousands of affordable, easily accessible Cinemas and filling them with audiences watching films. The Audiences are there! the Films are there! They just have nowhere to get together. I wonder how many Great Films are sitting on shelves gathering dust, instead of being viewed by audiences at a small affordable price, becoming popular and thus hitting the BIG TIME. If the audiences don't get to see them, they will never become popular. Bollywood and Nollywood are showing the world how to make the film industry pay. SMALL PROFIT X MASSIVE DISTRIBUTION = MASSIVE PROFIT MASSIVE PROFIT X SMALL DISTRIBUTION = CLOSED CINEMAS AND PRODUCTION HOUSES
its a pleasure to have you. tell me how can i get to know the industry and what accomplishment did you have or enjoy. thank Robert coz really i am in to that business but i am based in South Africa
I enjoyed seeing my name in film credits for the first time - the movie was The Grey, starring Liam Neeson. I looked for posts for work on director's guild sites, as well as sites like Mandy.com
