I just had meetings with some of the biggest casting directors in Los Angeles who told me how hard it is to find actors who look like their headshots. They are not looking for models, " there is no room for it in commercials nowadays". They are looking for real type people, wrinkles, freckles, flaws and all. Minimum retouch. So my advice is: "Keep it real, keep it natural, be you and let it go."
AWESOME advice Maria - thank you for sharing!
I completely agree with you. It is also good to have a professional headshot photographer who know exactly what a headshot is, because there are many photographers who know nothing about headshots.
