Lifeboat Nominated for Short Documentary Academy Award

After a lot of hard work, sometimes it pays off. This year instead of making it to the Short List of 10 films, our friend, compatriot and client, Skye Fitzgerald had his latest effort "Lifeboat" get to the list of 5 that are nominated for an Academy Award for Short Documentary. And we did the sound mix in surround and the "deliverable" work to create the files that go to theaters and other places that will show it.

It's not every day that something like this happens here.

LIFEBOAT bears witness to refugees desperate enough to risk their lives in rubber boats leaving Libya in the middle of the night, despite a high probability of drowning. With few resources but certain that civil society must intervene, volunteers from a German non-profit risk the waves of the Mediterranean to pluck refugees from sinking rafts.
