Kino Lorber Hires Former AMC Network's Duo for Digital Push

"The appointments come two months after Kino Lorber acquired North American streaming service MHz Choice. The company said Carroll and Schwartz will work with Kino Lorber CEO Richard Lorber and COO Martha Benyam to shape content and distribution strategies “including an accelerated expansion into digital spaces.”

Kino Lorber's release slate this year includes:

'Filmmakers for the Prosecution', Directed by Jean-Christoph Klotz. The documentary looks at the hunt for evidence that could convict Nazis at the Nuremberg Trials.

'The Conformist' Directed by Bernardo Bertolucci is restored to 4k. Mussolini's Italy. A homosexual joins the Fascists in a desperate attempt to fit in.

'The Forger' Directed by Maggie Peren and starring Louis Hoffman (Netflix's stunning series 'Dark'). Berlin, 1940. A forger with a zest for life, needs to forge one more document in an attempt to save his life.

It's interesting to see another company, Kino Lorber, re-strategising and acquiring MHz Choice, a digital distribution Network. Ed Carroll will be responsible for digital strategy.

Thanks for sharing Geoff! Will be interesting to see if Kino can pull it off. Even AMC Networks with their streaming platforms is struggling..

Thanks Geoff Hall - this is really good stuff! I worked with the Kino closely on their Jewish slate of films, these all seem like slightly older titles. Can't wait to see how they roll out their streaming.
