Hi All,
I have a script with three alternate endings. All three make sense. Each ending is three pages. So we are talking predominantly the closing scene.
I am probably going to just choose one. But if I decided to go to market with all three, how would you do it?
I have seeded all three possible endings throughout the script so the reader can’t tell which way it is going to end.
Thanks

I was thinking of starting end one on a new page. Like an attached short film.
Thanks
Choose the ending that impacts the protagonist most profoundly?
Eric Christopherson he dies in all the endings. Just why changes and who profits from it. A bit like a “who done it” pretty much everyone.
Dan MaxXx it is the same story, with three alternate endings. That is the challenge, how would you write it?
I would offer up the alternatives to script reader or producer. This story bla bla bla has no cast iron limits on final execution. There are some projects out now on Transmedia, where the audience "chooses" the ending they particularly want. Good Luck.

During the Pitch, you can close by mentioning that you have three possible ending. If the executive calls you back, you will be happy to share them with him/her. This is a teaser for them.
Thank you Debbie and Tasha. I have a young English actor in mind for the lead, David Beeby, he has done a lot of stage in Manchester and a bit of TV in the UK. I’ll get his feedback as well. Actors see things different to us (thank goodness for that).
Personally, I'd take a look at how specific and clearly motivated the decisions of the characters actually are. If there's three equally compelling ways the story can end, is the story itself as tight, clear, and specific as it needs to be? I obviously don't know your work, Craig... but Magic 8 Ball has questions.
Dan MaxXx Sir, what pray tell is a test mule? What are people out there testing on mules, now?

Pick one. Never tell anyone about the others.
Each ending is 2 pages. I am not labouring. These are questions that leave the audience with different questions and emotions.
1) is a twist and dred
2) a surprise and the bad guy wins.
3) a possible sequel.
Once I start a conversation with someone with cash. I gauge some interest. I’ll stay with (1) the original ending I conceived.
Thanks everyone
