Hi everyone, and anyone skeptical of sending a script for review. Just received feedback from Executive: Susan Boehm. I am over the moon. Writing alone can be so isolating, often you think something works, but the reader tells you otherwise. To receive a pass and positive feedback from an Executive like Susan, on my first feature, WOW. The recommendation that, as someone writing in English as my second language, I need fresh eyes from someone for whom English is their native language, is the truth I needed to hear. Coming from writing for television for 8 years in English as a second language, for actors who then translate the dialogue back to their vernacular, one gets comfortable. I've used the Pitch Sessions a few times, Christa Biyela. They helped me write better pitches. And I had a Feature Script Read/30-minute Talk with Executive. The Read/Talk really helped me rewrite my script.
