Five Screenwriting Rules You Can Break and Five You Can't...
Even the notion of screenwriting rules gets some people into a serious tizz, and it's this controversial topic I want to explore this week. I've spent the last three weeks watching my new film Kajaki…
Dan Guardino

Doug, you should write to the person that wrote that article and tell him there are no rules.

Beth Fox Heisinger

(Slaps forehead.) Articles like these are about creative choices and typical expectations, not "rules." Controversial topic? Hardly. This is self-promotion. This site is for a business: Industrial Scripts – Screenplay & Story Analysis Specialists. And the guy who perhaps runs this site who also wrote the article is talking about his film and sharing his views and opinions. Nice "BOOK NOW!" ad smack dab in the middle of the article. LOL!

He mentions his movie, a least a half a dozens times ... I'm beginner, who am I to judge -Happy 4th everyone!

Dan MaxXx

The Writer of the Article has his own agenda, a niche, branding, selling himself. These articles are basically nonsense.

I took ur advice and read Ex - Machina

Dan Guardino

Almost all articles about screenwriting are self promoting.

Jeanie Hobgood

Vince, the rules information is interesting and informative. Dan, I do understand what you are saying. Whether we realize it or not; we are being self promoting.
