Screenwriting : Logline horror? by John Clive Carter

John Clive Carter

Logline horror?

Something strange is happening in my brain. I've begun thinking in loglines. Has this happened to anyone else? I'm serious, I used to hate the things. But now, when I'm having story ideas, they're forming automatically into loglines. I'm worried - have I become formulaic before I've been produced? Have I sold out before I've sold? I even dreamed a logline the other week. It was pretty good. What's happening to me? :-))

I used to get pieces of a story -- I still do sometimes -- but I think in loglines now, John Clive Carter (the protagonist, story goal, etc.).

Thanks for this post because I am new to screen writing but not to creating, acting, or writing. So I have no idea what it takes or the language but copywrite and winging it.

Lol!

I think it means you are officially a screenwriter. Lol! I remember once asking my Spanish teacher in high school what it meant now that I was dreaming and thinking in Spanish instead of English, and she told me it meant I was now officially bilingual. So, I think this means you are officially a screenwriter. :)
