Does anyone on here have a successful example of a query letter to a manager.
I'm just at the point now where I'm serious about looking for one. I've said that before but ended up being drawn into my next screenplay. Need to make an effort now so any help would be gratefully appreciated.
Thanks
Gen

I have one - it depends what you mean by "successful" as it did not result in a request for the script but happy to share an example

I think your time is better spent building fans of your work that can send it to their lit manager friends.

Gen Vardo even if I had their email, most emails go to their spam box. That’s why was saying building a fans of your work is better so people can just refer you

Hi Gen Vardo! Are you a member of the Writer's Room? I highly recommend it. There is a webcast tomorrow that is dedicated to the query letter, with Antonio D'Intino who is a literary manager at Circle of Confusion. There are also recorded, on-demand webcasts you can purchase on just about every subject for the screenwriting journey. I also see under the Great Reads box there's a free article available on obtaining representation. Lots of information here, good luck!

The last 4 query letters I sent to a very reputable lit management company all got script read requests. if youd like a sample of one just DM me.

Hi Gen! Glad to hear from you. I would suggest meeting with a literary manager here to get specific advice on how to best go about getting a manager. Andrew Kersey and Scott Schulman are incredible managers you can meet with to discuss you next steps! If you want a career consultation would probably be the best way to go for more info. Hope this helps! Cheers, GiGi
