Hello...
So, back in late June, I received an email from a producer looking for unscripted television pitches and while I do have an idea for a reality show that I would like to pitch, I've never written reality show pitches before.
I was wondering if there is a certain format to write reality show pitches. Thanks.

It should basically be the same I would think. Just tick all the relevant boxes that are part of a usual scripted pitch doc.

hi David. I sold two premium unscripted shows to USA and E! I created a pitch deck that included a list of my main characters, information about them and their traits. Then I mapped out what a potential season and series could be for the show. Considering it’s real life it’s hard to completely anticipate what the show would be, but you can give general information about where it could potentially go. Also include information about the setting, what state or what country does this take place in? Unique traits about the world that we are about to embark on.

Thanks for the help, Amanda Toney . Since my idea is a reality show (it's kind of like a variation of "American Idol" or "America's Got Talent" talent show), how would I know who my main characters are, since they are the contestants?

Just found these pitch decks, not 2 pagers;

'Reality' problem here: normally as a writer you haven't filled in any show characters, or producers. Because of the forpmat they chose, this was possible. But even in this case. If reality comes knocking, a potential buying production company could simply replace everybody after buying them out, and get their own showrunner on it.
What I personally would do is get as much key deck points into your 2 pager format / theme.
