I was the Project Manager of NASA's highly successful Mars Global Surveyor Mission. In addition to managing Mars Missions dating back to Mariner 9, I taught astronomy in Glendale College Extended Day for many years while publishing seven novels of the Darmon Mystery series about a couple solving international crimes during the 1820 to 1860's. Four of these have been adapted into screenplays that have won or been finalists in a number of contests.

Hello, I read your Introduction, and think it is truly amazing! I've always been interested in NASA, having just completed a Course on Remote Imaging of the Greenland Ice Sheet, of which NASA played a part. It was a University online course from FutureLearn.com. Best wishes, Kathleen Stevens.
Welcome, Thomas!

Thomas:
We are both historical fiction writers. My Journal of Rudd 1897 - 1903 (e-book on Amazon) is a nearly completed screenplay adapted from the book. I have just started on another (working title: Venturers into the Interior) both of Southern Africa in late 1800's early 1900's.
I grew up watching the Southern skies, Southern Cross and Milky Way from near Cape Town.
Were you connected to the Univ. of Arizona? I cheered my head off when Project Phoenix landed successfully on Mars. Marvelous bit of engineering.
Good luck in your writing.
