I miss both of my sons (I'm a recent empty-nester). I'm single and do not like the feeling of being alone or unproductive. Writing teleports me into lives that I create. The characters in my stories make me smile and keep my mind busy and my heart happy.

Heartfelt, yes. Characters are integral to storytelling/story construction. Developing the inciting incident gives life to the characters and moves them along. I LOVE being a mom. As a mother, I've invested in my children's success. I LOVE being a writer. I'm invested in my protagonist's success. I'm not sure If that makes sense. :/

Well, I started writing in my school when I had a crush on one of my classmate and I didn't want to (or rather can't) say anything to him. Fortunately, crush couldn't last longer, but writing stayed.

It was either screenwriter or International Playboy.
I can't play Baccarat so the playboy gig was a no go.
I got into it to sort out the structure of one of my novels. I got hooked and stayed with it. Now I write novels and screenplays.

I guy came to me in 2012 and asked me to write a book. I said "No" and wrote a teleplay instead. And, the rest my friend is history.
