What do you mean collaborate for free? Normally when you collaborate with someone you are creating a partnership.

Dan Guardino -- well state my friend! I was thinking thee exact same thing when I read the post. Cee Whirx Most screenwriters are busy writing, and don't truly have the time to be a Teacher or Mentor. There are countless colleges, and Film Schools who teach thee art of screenwriting, as-well, you can go on line, or Amazon, find all kinds of books written as instructive prose in helping others learn the craft and succeed. They can be found at the local library for FREE. Kindly Nick... best wishes

I’m going to try and make sense of this. So this collaboration, is this a shared profit/loss deal. Everyone works on the project for free with no expectation of payment. But if money is made, it will be split among the collaborators?
Honestly Everyone, I have no money to share. It's kind of complicated. So yes, collaborations are free without expectation of payment.

Cee. Working for free and a partnership are two different things. if everyone is working for free to show their talents that is fine. What are you trying to do? Since this is an animated film project are you going to be doing the animation?
Yes, I plan to do the animation with a friend. Although I'm very new to animation, I'm very good at artwork, so I hope to learn as I go.
Is this going to be a short or a feature or what?
It's already planned out as a feature-length film project. The setting is between the realms of Japan.
