Kit, as a producer of 18 movies, please take my constructive criticism in the spirit it was meant - NOT to hurt, but to HELP. There are things you can improve upon. (And, after you read my comments, please go check out my IMDb page to prequalify my advice.)

1. That's not actually a traditional one-sheet. You have no names on the bottom in Steel Tongs font (standard movie font). The 'Coming Soon' is barely noticeable in a different color and doesn't seem to fit where it is. No names of writer, director or producer. Don't get me wrong I LOVE the photo, BUT, it looks more like a flyer than an official movie poster. Sends the wrong message. Look at any professional movie poster on IMDb or Google and I promise you will see the things I am saying.

2. Also, before you actually spend money on this movie, you might want to consider getting some name actors in the horror genre. There are plenty that won't cost nearly as much as you think. Some wonderful character actors, who have been in Studio Horror Movies. Remember when you go for distribution, buyers will ask you, 'Who's in it?' . This element to your film will be very important. I promise you that. I know many SAG actors with recognizable faces and who have worked in that genre, been in Rob Zombie films, etc, who, again, won't cost nearly what you are thinking.

3. I know a composer, who is one of the major composers in Hollywood. She does all genres, but has specialized in many theatrical horror movies - ie horror films that played in theaters. Also, she might be able to bring other elements.

I'm just doing my best to show you there are things you can do to help make a film that will receive distribution. It sounds like you have some fine elements for a creepy period piece, WHY NOT REALLY GO FOR IT? If you are interested in my composer friend or hearing about any of the above, be it actors or poster, feel free to reach out. If not, I say to you - as we say in NYC - "Break Legs!" Either way, GOD BLESS and STAY FRESH!!! <3
