I have a coming of age story that's inspired by my co-writer's experiences as a sheltered Mexican coming to the US for college. It finished in the top-20% in Nichols 2018. Low budget. Not exactly what you're looking for but the school could be changed from Texas to an LA one. But it's mainly a road movie that goes back into Mexico. 3 characters mainly, 1M 2F (18-20).
