Hello all. I'm very excited to be here. I've been a self-published author since 2015 and have approximately 30 books to my name. I write urban fantasy and cozy mystery (although admittedly my upcoming work is veering more into the UF lane). I love creating stories of magic and strong women.
Years ago, i tried my hand at script writing and found I am rather terrible at it! But, I have always believed that at least some of my books would be decent as short form tv scripts. So, I've come to get to know people and maybe find some folks who might be able to help me see what's possible in this creative avenue.
Hey, Sarah Biglow! My name is Kay, I'm the Community Manager here at Stage 32. If you'd like to learn more about myself and the Stage32 Team, we have an intro blog: https://www.stage32.com/blog/Meet-the-Stage-32-Team Nice to meet you and welcome to the community!
Wow, 30 books?! That's fantastic! You've come to the right place to find writing partners who could help you adapt your books to screenplays, for sure. As you network, I would recommend continuing your education about screenwriting just so you are able to speak the same language. You could start by listing your loglines on your profile for any projects you have that you'd like adapted: https://www.stage32.com/loglines
Otherwise, definitely jump in on the Authoring & Playwriting Lounge (https://www.stage32.com/lounge/playwriting) and Screenwriting Lounge (https://www.stage32.com/lounge/screenwriting) to meet more potential collaborators!
Keep in mind that these lounges are like the VIP Filmmaker's Lounges at Film Festivals, so this is where you can meet the people doing the work, get advice on anything you're working on, and/or give back to those who may need advice. We're a very supportive and encouraging community! I think you'd also enjoy my intro blog post on how to engage with the Stage32 Community:

Enjoy exploring the lounges, and don't forget to comment and respond to others’ posts, too! It's the best way to really connect! And, of course, feel free to reach out at any time. Cheers!

Welcome to the club. :)
Welcome, Sarah Biglow ! I write a cozy mystery series as well. I do not have nearly as many books to my name--only 12 since I started in 2018, but I did manage to win a competition and then have a book where I sold the rights for it to be a script in 2019. I'm not sure why I waited so long from then to get more into the industry, but here I am. So happy to see another cozy writer here. Best of luck with your creative pursuits!
