I love seeing all the new faces and everyone in varying stages of their scriptwriting journeys. I went to school on purpose (what an idiot) to become a scriptwriter where I honed my craft. Fast forward a few years, many scripts and an agent later, I'm learning the business side of things. I do contract work (rewrites, other people's passion projects etc.) and now can pump out a first draft of a feature on average in 3-6 weeks. I'm currently working on packaging and funding a couple of projects...which can prove exciting and frustrating and then back to exciting.
Happy writing everyone!

Going to school for screenwriting is fantastic... sounds like it was worth it in terms of your abilities now. Look forward to hearing more about you :)

It's nice to see you around the Lounges again, Cannon Rosenau. I remember you were talking about writing a movie trailer script (for a job). How did that turn out?

Wow, impressive turnaround. Yes, it is a rollercoaster of emotions, this storytelling business. Would love to connect with you sometime on your packaging approach. Thanks for re-introducing yourself!

Hi Maurice Vaughan It was good! The producer has a meeting with Joe Estevez (Martin Sheen's brother) today who is interested in the project, so things on that one are moving along. How's your writing world goin?

And haha @Michelle (it won't hyperlink your name oh well) anyhow, yeah, the 3 week turnaround is insane...but works well for me, it's super satisfying! It's way easier now that the kids are teenagers and drivers and can fend for themselves when I'm working on a project. There's no way I could have done that a few years ago!

That's terrific, Cannon Rosenau! Hope the meeting goes great. I've been getting a lot of jobs through Stage 32 (it goes to show what can happen when people build relationships on here!). Right now, I'm working on a writing job. Can't say too much about it.
