Hello everybody. I'm Rogério, I'm from Portugal! Since I was little I love acting, singing and writing, I did theater at school and attended the conservatory in singing and guitar classes and I was a fado singer for a few years, as well as a radio host, but I never had the courage to advance, I went to college and became a Psychiatrist. I know I'm too old to start now, but as Antony Hopkins says, I have to believe, believe, believe!
So, here's to us!

Welcome to the community, Rogério Miranda Vieira. That's a great quote by Anthony Hopkins. What type of movies/shows do you want to act in, and what genres do you want to write?

Hi Rogério Miranda Vieira ! Welcome to Stage32 :) I felt the same way when I first decided to get into screenwriting/film after a decade working in another industry(and quitting my job!) But so far, everyone here has been extremely welcoming and supportive. Personally, I don’t see it as starting out “too late” or rushing to catch up, but rather a fresh start and an exciting opportunity to learn something new. “It doesn’t matter where you start. Only that you begin.” Best of luck on your new journey :)

Thank you for the warm welcome, Maurice Vaughan. It's a powerful statement. I'm eclectic, I like everything from Drama and musical to
fantasy, suspense and horror, whether movies or series. And writing would be the same! But I'm a little lost here in this application. I don't really know how to interact to cultivate what I'm looking for. A fresh start!

I really appreciate your words, Ayman Jaber. Really what I always needed was a fresh start. And I still need it. I count on your help to move around here, as I feel a little lost.

You're welcome, Rogério Miranda Vieira.
I write the genres you mentioned, but I haven't written a musical.
You said, "But I'm a little lost here in this application. I don't really know how to interact to cultivate what I'm looking for." Go to the Lounges (or Blogs) and make posts, ask questions, and comment on people's posts. Basically just talk with people like you're having friendly conversations and support their projects. That's how you build relationships in the film/TV industry. That's what I do.

Hi Rogério Miranda Vieira - welcome to Stage 32!! As my fellow creatives has mentioned, it is never too late to chase your dreams. I didn't step on stage to do improv until I was 31, and it changed the trajectory of my life in the best way possible.

Hi Rogério Miranda Vieira - great to meet you here at Stage 32! I agree - it is never too late to start. Raymond Chandler published his first book in his 50's. G.D. SPradlin didn't start acting until his 40's after a business career. There are no limitations. I'm the director of education. Feel free to email anytime at edu@stage32.com if you'd like any recommendations on Stage 32 eduction.
