Hello Everyone,
I'm Noel, I'm a filmmaker based in Sydney, Australia. I am originally from Orange County, California, but my film wings only took off once I ended up in Australia. Being that I am 42, I feel like I have no more time to waste... or even wait. Silence can be deafening. As creators, we can make things happen, but it is certainly not an easy road. I'm still counting all of the hats-to-Wear that an independent filmmaker is required to wear. The good thing is that it's never too late, unless one chooses to sit still, overthink and second-guess. Just by following my convictions, I am grateful that my film 'Jane' made it as a winner in Stage 32's 7th Annual Short Film Contest.
Just this last week, I decided to take a risk and attend the American Film Market in Santa Monica. This will be the first time I've been back home ways in over 5 years, but my gut kept pushing me to jump into the fire. So, that, is exactly what I feel following my convictions is. Is anyone here planning on attending? It would be awesome to meet, because my biggest fear is that I will be a wallflower lol. Truth is, I really need to get my networking skills on point in a way that only practice can achieve.
Nonetheless, being that this is Introduce Yourself weekend, I thought I would take a moment and speak my thoughts... and salute every filmmaker, wearing any hat, who believes in their vision!
