I'm a Lounge Crew member in the Screenwriting Lounge, Robert Russo. A Lounge Crew member is more of a volunteer than a worker. A Lounge Crew member is someone who greets people who join Stage 32, keeps conversations going in the Lounges, and points members in the right direction (when they have questions, when they need resources, etc.).
I'm a paid member and I have benefited. I have become a better writer through networking in the group, participating in the pitch sessions, gained insight by attending the Executive Hour where I had opportunities to ask questions. Members have been tremendously helpful. I've also submitted scripts for the Open Writing Assignments (OWAs). You're not forced to join by any means, but I have not regretted being a member.
I still haven't heard anything back about an OWA I submitted to back in August. At this point, I'm guessing my script didn't make it past the internal vetting process. Either that or Stage 32 staff got overwhelmed by the number of submissions and they're still sorting through them? Not sure. But it's all good. Plenty of opportunities in the future.
Everything in life is horses for courses. When I joined writers room I did so cos I’d time to commit in person several hours a week live, then my work load increased. However did not cancel cos there are seminars and links that do not require live contact. I do not as yet have a voice in room but done plenty behind scenes.

Sash Andranikian As a Writers' Room member, I've attended live events, watched free webinars, and learned a lot in the Writers' Room Lounge. One of my scripts is being considered by a major company because I submitted it through an Open Writing Assignment in the Writers' Room (https://www.stage32.com/lounge/stage_32_success_stories/Night-Crier-Adva...).

I just submitted to my first OWA. How does it work? Is it worth it?

That's a great attitude to have, Sabrina Miller ("But it's all good. Plenty of opportunities in the future"). I'm sure you'll get more opportunities.
