Hey everyone! I’ve gotten so caught up in my writing I forgot about ways to learn and get to know others in the industry. Does anyone have any tips or contacts that you recommend to start networking around? Thanks!
Craig D Griffiths Thanks! I also love to read screenplays, especially those of the movies I've watched that day or recently. Is scriptrevolution.com free or paid (I'm assuming paid haha)?
Hi Jordan, you're doing it right now! Posting in the lounges and interacting here is a great way to network. You can also look for writers' groups and meetups in your area. When you do start to expand your contacts remember to always ask how you can help. This can be an industry full of people looking out only for themselves. The best way to get people on your side when you need them is to be on their side when they need you.
Exactly what you’ve just done. Reach out to people, make connections, start conversations, are you on LinkedIn? Linkedin is also great for this and it’s a professional platform, I recommend going between this and LinkedIn. Feel free to drop me a line if you want to connect!

Here is what I did from Australia.
I wrote some good screenplays that I knew were producible.
I posted them on Scriptrevolution.com this got interest, options and sales.
I stayed in contact with these producers and made sure I was always available to help them.
I constantly read great screenplays, like the Oscar noms. You will learn if you surround yourself with great work constantly.

SR is free, but I choose to pay. Unsupported things disappear.
