Stage 32 is excited to welcome Todd Slavkin back for his upcoming lab. In this interactive Stage 32 8-week pitching lab, you will work directly with veteran television/film writer and top showrunner Todd Slavkin to build your professional TV series pitch and, ultimately, pitch your project to Todd to receive high-level feedback on your work. Todd will teach you the art and craft of pitching and selling your television project to producers, studios and networks/streamers while you build your market ready pitch so you are armed for success.
You will walk away from this lab having built and practiced your TV series pitch with Todd so you can go out into the market and confidently sell your project! And there's never been a better time to have your TV series pitch ready!

Hey everyone—it was great seeing our group of writers. I had to leave early to go teach, but I look forward to watching the rest of the intros in the recording.

How's everyone feeling about their pitch prep? I was struggling a little with narrowing where to start the show since it takes place in my own timeline/history. But it's helped that out the gate I'm veering away from my own past. Makes it less autobiographical and more funny drama.

That's so tough! Have you read Kam Miller's The Hero Succeeds? Or Into the Woods by John Yorke? They've helped me try to answer that question in my own stories. Mostly, I take from them that the end of the first act should really push the MC (and the viewer) into a new emotional/physical world. So the beginning of the story is wherever you can find your character committing to entering a new world. Those books say it much better than me though.
Michael's pitch was awesome last week! I loved everyone's critiques and perspectives. Josh, your presence is deep & amazing. Kristin, I'm a fan! You seem so poised & professional. I'm a shy guy, so it's been a pleasant surprise to share a class with such talented writers. Makes me wanna step my game way up! Lol. vaughn@jelkselanmedia.com
