Hi, everyone. I’ve submitted my latest crime thriller “Blindsighted” to the contest. It’s about an aging hit man who is going blind and must ransom his estranged daughter for a ledger stolen from the mobster his testimony sent to prison. Good luck to all those who enter.

Hello everyone. I submitted my faith-based thriller screenplay "The Jesus DNA" based on my best-selling novel of the same name. You can purchase the novel here: https://store.bookbaby.com/book/the-jesus-dna3 - Publishers Weekly said if you liked National Treasure (Nic Cage) or the Da Vinci Code (Tom Hanks), you will love The Jesus DNA.

I did a 60-second trailer for the novel: https://youtu.be/LAhTDdzupx4?feature=shared - I hope you enjoy!

Erik Stahl

I like the lady on your film . Looks inviting to watch the film.

Hector Valle

I have some interest from a female action star in the project. Stay tuned!

I submitted LIZZIE - Ember City An 18-year-old vigilante known only as “PK” declares war on Ember City’s pimps and the corrupt system protecting them.

It’s raw, fast, and unflinching — a character-driven thriller where her survival becomes rebellion, and her rebellion becomes legend.

Hello fellow creatives!! I have submitted my screenplay "A Taste for Lunacy". It is based on a short story I wrote about 12 years ago. Set in the 1950's, a disgraced neurosurgeon is forced to perform lobotomies in a decrepit sanitarium, pushed to the grindstone by manipulative leadership. In his depravity, he consumes brain material while attempting to complete a procedure, and discovers not only can he relive the memories of the criminals being lobotomized, he assumes a portion of their evil souls. His descent into madness and power forces the audience members to examine their own morality to ask--if put to the same challenge, would you make the same choices, your only hope of escape?

Hi! I submitted 'Unlucky Lloyd' A washed-up ex-con with a gift for screwing up gets out of prison and immediately finds himself running from old partners, bizarre kidnappers, and a ruthless crime boss called The Rabbit—all while stumbling through a whirlwind of botched robberies, botched rescues, and seriously unlucky escapes. In a world where everyone is looking for a payday or payback, “Unlucky Lloyd” must outwit some of the weirdest criminals in the American South just to stay alive (and maybe, finally, catch a break).

Hi Folks, I submitted my thriller MORGAN'S WAKE, a crime-based piece, akin to early Coen Brothers like Blood Simple or Miller's Crossing, with a touch of In Bruges, as it is a very darkly comedic story, about a retiring hitman who is tasked with breaking in his young replacement, on one last job, only for the last job to come with an unseen complication, one which develops into a double cross in which the retiring hitman himself becomes the target.

This screenplay was a Top Five Finalist in the Shore Scripts Feature Film Screenplay Competition back in 2023, and had a little interest from producers over the years, off the back of my first and second feature films also being in the thriller genre, but I'm still looking to get it to the right producers, with a track record in this type of subject matter, so this comp felt like a good fit.

I also like the fact that this project focuses more on ageing criminals, which would allow flexibility in casting for a few veteran actors, and the script is written in such a way that it could be based in either the U.K. or the U.S. because of the landscape of the setting.

Good luck to everyone entering too!

Steven Hart

Hi All, I have submitted my intense crime thriller, Overwhelming Darkness. It's about a jaded reporter who accidentally kills a child murder, then goes on a vengeful journey to rid her city of the violent criminals she's always hated. This takes her to some terrible dark places, making her do things she thought she'd never do, but she's never the victim in this story and stands up for all the innocent people who are.

Michael Elliott 2

I entered my crime thriller, "IN SELF DEFENSE?" The logline is:: Seeking revenge on a white criminal gang, a black homeowner lures them into a home invasion to disguise murder as self defense. "Man on Fire" meets "The Usual Suspects".

Hi everyone, I submitted my action / thriller "Uncommon Criminals'. The story follows four friends who get caught up in the latest headlines after robbing a bank. The script picks up moments after the heist as our characters seek refuge. Slowly the truth unravels and gets caught up in the misinformation of modern journalism. Loyalty begins to crack as they become social media sensations. It's an old tale with new trends that I hope everyone loves.

Hi Everyone, I submitted my neo-noir spy thriller WANT FOR NOTHING: When an emotionally adrift ex-hedge fund trader takes a corporate espionage gig spying on his frenemies in the Hamptons, this seemingly innocuous pastime snares him in a deadly plot with no escape. Good luck to all!

Carl Robinson

I have entered a high seas thriller MARITIME:

An Ex-SEAL maritime investigator and pirate hunter takes a gamble enlisting the aid of a foe he never meets—a ruthless Burmese pirate—to help prevent a shipborne nuclear attack on a major U.S. port.

Mark Stewart

Hey, mine is about a bubbly granddaughter and playful WWll veteran become victims of a grisly home invasion with no justice in sight he fortuitously encounters brothers in arms who endeavor to set things right. Cheers.

Jim Cushinery

I turned in Aú Perish, a very dark action comedy pilot in which a Russian assassin goes into CIA-sponsored hiding as an American aú pair, forced to play house while carrying out covert hits. But while she can change her name and location after every hit, she can’t outrun the ghosts of her past—or the growing desire to leave the killing behind.

Patrick Koepke

I entered The Hollow Shore, a psychological thriller. Here's the logline: In 1947 Oregon, a lonely bookseller and a determined reporter discover that people are being erased from existence. As the town turns against them, they race to uncover the truth before they too are forgotten.

Haneef Bhatti

I love "The Player" and "Fargo" so end up writing a dark comedy called "Writer's Block" - "Once the favorite son of Hollywood, an Academy Award winning writer, Blake Nelson, down on his luck, couldn’t even write a jingle to save his life, leaves Hollywood to start a new life in Alaska. He accidentally comes across four young-eager writers and their exceptional scripts. His well intention of helping them involuntarily turns into a Dexter finale episode. He returns to Hollywood with four amazing scripts and once again becomes the favorite son, until things catch up with him."

Haneef Bhatti

My second entry was "Terra Firma", a sci-fi/thriller. What can I say, I like DARK STUFF. “Our galaxy is going to reboot itself. Everything in it will be eradicated. Secret messages through special ‘HUMAN KEYS’ reveal the possibility of saving all of us. But CAPP (our protagonist) and his team must find the KEYS before it is too late.”

Jacob Jamieson

I sure did! Its a Sci-fy called "Triangle" A guilt ridden ex-Navy SEAL ventures into the Bermuda Triangle after his estranged sister vanishes on a research vessel, uncovering the lost city of Atlantis—where things may not be as they seem. I submitted as a feature however I have currently been working on it as a limited series since its hard to fit all the lore and world building into 100 pages.

Brandon Smith

Hello, I am a director/writer. My entry to this contest is a ridiculously audacious action film titled "BLEED SIX" and it is my first attempt at action in a long time. I was the director of the very highly rated film "Somewhere in Montana" that came out in theaters earlier this year and I have three projects in the pipeline that are in various stages of development, casting, etc. Here's my log-line for BLEED SIX, not great but it explains it fairly well.

"Mary, a mother driven by loss, allies with a secretive assassin and his deadly crew to dismantle a criminal empire, facing impossible odds in a fight that tests loyalty and morality."
