My screenplay 'Witch Mother' -- a supernatural horror rooted in the Pendle witch trials and inspired by a family connection to the real events -- has been selected as a Finalist in the 2025 13Horror.com Screenplay Competition.
This recognition means a lot to me as I continue to share 'Witch Mother' with the industry. It feels like a step forward, and I’m grateful for the encouragement along the way.
A huge thank you to 13Horror.com Screenplay Competition, and to the Stage 32 community for inspiring me to keep pushing forward.

Congratulations, Selma! Witch Mother sounds absolutely gripping—love the historical connection to the Pendle witch trials, especially with your personal family link. That kind of depth adds so much power to a horror story. Excited to see where this takes you!

Thanks so much, Michael Dzurak -- you’re so right! Writing is tough, and once you start pitching or entering competitions, every bit of encouragement really means a lot. It’s like a little pat on the back that keeps you going..
