I'd like to introduce myself again... My name is Haylee Hemphill and this is my story.
I was in a horrific crash that happened 5 years ago, it changed my life forever. Physically, mentally, emotionally. There was a time they didn't know if I'd even be able to walk again. While I was bed bound for 6 months, I remember screaming and crying that I just wanted to die. I couldn't take the pain and frustration. The anger consumed me. Why me? I'm not even sorry for all the posts about my script... Here's a long one so, strap in‼️ When the crash happened 5 years ago, it changed my life forever. Physically, mentally, emotionally. There was a time they didn't know if I'd even be able to walk again. While I was bed bound for 6 months, I remember screaming and crying that I just wanted to die. I couldn't take the pain and frustration. The anger consumed me. Why me? As time went on I thought it would get easier, but relearning how to walk was no easy feat. Learning how to cope and manage the new life I never asked for, was draining. However, in the process of it all I learned to appreciate the little things in life. I learned to never take anything for granted, because you never know when it will be taken away from you. I learned that I had strength I never even knew existed within me. The one thing that got me through, was writing. I poured my emotions out through poetry. It was the only way I knew how to cope with everything. When I finally reconnected with the amazing man that saved my life, our energy was unmatched. He inspired me to tell our story as a way of healing. We came up with the idea of a movie. Go big or go home, right? He then bought me the software to begin writing and I took off instantly. Completely invested for 3 months straight. I had no clue what I was doing, but I knew I had to do it. The process wasn't easy. Reliving the worst experience of my life with every word was mentally exhausting, but I fought through just like I did with everything else. Fast forward to today.. The script I poured my all into has blew up and made it's way to HOLLYWOOD‼️ I couldn't be more proud of myself. I've endured more than I could've ever imagined, but I came out on top and I'm not stopping now. I can't thank everyone who has supported me, enough. Stand by.. the big screen is loading.

Writing poetry is a great way to get out emotions and cope with life. Poetry and songwriting has gotten me through some tough times. Congrats on your script! That's amazing!
