Sophie Emma Wells Well done, Sophie! It takes courage, passion and a real vision to make a short film, kuddos : ) I love the color palette, I love the effects, the music and sound...the production value is actually really, really good, I love it! The feedback I have is about the length of the short: it felt a bit long. I would honestly, as a challenge, make this less than 5 minutes. The momentum is a bit lost toward the middle of the beginning. Two friends, who clearly have chemistry, young love, it needed a bit more speed. But, this is an amazing testament to your vision, and your skills, really I think you are on the right track! Aplausos para ti!!!
Great to meet you, Sophie Emma Wells. Congratulations on making your own short film! The movie, directing, acting, production value, effects, color palette, music, everything. Incredible! I can see this being a feature film or series.
Great Job Sophie! Fantastic work. Keep making them! There were a couple of spots where I had trouble hearing the dialogue over the music, so you may want to rebalance it.
I'm gonna be doing the same thing, finding kids on the street and shooting it with my cellphone. I too am tired of the bullshit. Send me a link to your film
Sophie Emma Wells Fantastic! The kind of creator who belongs in the Independent Producers Guild. - don't ask permission, don't wait for validation, just get your vision to screen and control it from there. Great job!
Sophie, I loved it! Great job! It showcases how wholesome love can be. Reminds me of my middle school years in the 80's. The letter, the pencil & the beating hearts- chef's kiss! I couldn't wait for them to kiss at the end:)
Good evening, Sophie, I don't understand English, and that prevents me from appreciating the dialogue, but the photography and direction are excellent. Congratulations!!
I read that you did everything on a budget. Again, heartfelt congratulations.
I'm a small Italian audiovisual production company, and I'm willing to focus on a second short. I don't have a budget, but I can help you find funding or at least help you find actors, write a script, and find possible locations.
I hate Stage 32. Both on the computer and on the phone, it's impossible to work with. However, from what I could see if this short film, it's clearly romantic whatever else is going on. We have an exercise in Jacob Kreuger's class to imagine your script when it's converted to a film, if people could watch it and still get what's going on. I am very word-oriented and reading my scripts, you can see the dialogues can get quite extensive. However, whether it was your written directions or the directing, the visual communicated a lot. You see, my computer is under a TV so my ability to be creative is practically castrated. However, I could feel from watching this short film that it was well done. Whether there is actually a physical relationship between these two, it is clear from the way they related to each other, the camera work, the lighting....it all conjures up a deep romance, one probably far beyond any of the words. So it could be dialogically romantic or it could be just normal conversation between two friends but the mood conjured up is clearly romantic. Was I right? Even if these two aren't trying to be romantic, am i right in seeing the love vibe somehow coming through the way it seems to so many times when two people who could be in a relationship together are trying to related just as friends or even acquaintances?

There's one thing I don't get. You work as a producer for a production company. Why do you need to go elsewhere to get your scripts transformed?
