As of today I am officially done working at my grocery store job that I've been at for the past 9 years! My 2-weeks notice has ended today and now it's time to fully focus on my film career and excel with it! Not to mention I'm always up for film offers!

Full commitment. That is how I have always done it. Luck!

I have found that if I don't have that "fall back" job, I work harder.

A serious "High Five" to you Robert! I'm waiting until February to let go of my corporate IT job for good. It's a tough decision since having it has helped me fund all of my films 100% but it's time. The job is just in the way now. I have spent several years putting together a self funding production company based on passive income from an eCommerce site. So that in addition to crowdfunding makes the leap less scary. Good luck to you!

Thank you everyone for your feedback and support! To be honest though, deep down inside I'm actually feeling really scared about doing this knowing that I no longer will have a weekly paycheck anymore. In reality tho, I know this is the right thing to do. My retail job was just interfering too much with my film work. I was getting a lot of hours which resulted in decent size paychecks but I had no time to work on any projects. Not to mention the job was putting too much stress on me. I had to get out of there. But now I have more time and freedom to work on film projects and better yet, now that I'm out of my job, if I happen to get a film job offer, I have better chances of accepting it! Also to see what I have been working on, please check out my youtube channel "BobisWeirdTV" and please check out my videos and subscribe! Also I should add, please check out my very good friend Rob Dyke's youtube channel at "The Rob Dyke"! He's my very good friend and film partner and he's actually the guy who got me to quit my job. Check out his youtube channel and please subscribe to him! He's the reason why I gave up my job for FILM!
good luck

I wish I could quit my retail job, but I'm not at that point yet.
