GREAT NEWS! The Red River Actors is coming to Santa Barbara!!!! I have a location for us to meet, and a start date - Sep 27th (Sun), 1-4p (if this time doesn't work with most attendees, we can adjust. But let's try to make this first meeting and get things off the ground, eh?). We will meet every other Sunday to discuss many topics, including news, upcoming auditions both in SB and in L.A., techniques, etc. Plus, we will have improv exercises, audition training, resume building, cold reading training, character studies, and skits to hone our skills. However, since it is a residence, I can't just publish the location. Please message me to learn more about this exciting and wonderful opportunity to train as an actor in a loving and committed community, for all aspects of acting, print, film/TV, live performance and theatre. Red River Actors (RRA) is no dues, no tuition actor training community, that covers all aspects of acting, including bringing Hollywood to you! Guest speakers will be industry pros who come and do a presentation, do a little Q&A, then get to watch you in action! And that "action" will give you an opportunity to be on film at every meeting. Some of the skits can be edited into a demo reel for a nominal fee. We're also getting ready to set up a website for industry professionals to come and see the RRA members head shots and resumes, as well as their demo reels, if they have any. Come be a part of something you're already devoting time to, without the heavy cost. As this location is just getting started, we don't have quit the build up of props and costuming that the original from Shreveport, LA, does, but we'll get there, and probably quite fast. Thanks, Stage 32, for the opportunity to announce something that has been dear to my heart for a long time, and for helping me to build a network of industry pros to get this started with.

The ability to work for free would indicate that people are getting support from somewhere or have savings enough for this period of time. That would mean that these opportunities are not available to poor people.
Therefore this feeds the machine with the same people from previous generations.
Working for free is just bullshit and that takes us to the darkest time of history. This is new legal slavery. It's so arrogant to pretend to give experience to someone by exploiting him.

No one is superior except Tesla. Covid has just shown us how entertainment people are not crucial for society.
I would not accept that internship and work a minimum of ten hours per week without getting paid.
The best way for a writer to be perfect is to write by respecting the three-act structures, write, and keep writing until writing movies become second nature.

This is why I encourage people to look at lean living as a viable way to compete.
Anyone looking at trying to break into screenwriting needs to be prepared to dig a lot of ditches and what’s effectively a ten year long job interview.
