Scott was born in El Salvador in 1975. He moved to the United States at a very young age and his family settled in the music town of Olympia, Washington. While listening to his older brother's Judas Priest, Black Sabbath and Dio tapes, as a kid, Scotty developed and nurtured his sense of music. When he graduated high school in 1993, he moved to Vienna, Austria, where he planned to pursue a study of classical guitar. Alas, life, love and finances intervened, and his classical music studies never materialized. On to next!
In 1996, at the height of the Grunge music era, Scott moved to the U-District in Seattle, Washington. Scott spent the next 12 years in Seattle studying at the University of Washington and Seattle Central Community College, bartending and playing music.
In 2008, Scott moved back to his hometown of Olympia, Washington to attend The Evergreen State College. While living in Olympia, Scott started his own audio recording business, Quality.live.demos. He focused on spotlighting independent musicians and providing quality recording services for local artists; some of whom have gone on to achieve popularity as recording and touring musicians. In 2011, Scott graduated from The Evergreen State College with a Bachelors degree in Audio Engineering, Music Technology, and New Media Production.
Scott now lives and works in Los Angeles, California as a freelance audio engineer, sound designer, and production sound mixer.
