About Deep

Deep Williams is a native of Los Angeles. He and his wife continue to partner to
bring stories to life through film. With no formal film training or film school
experience his journey began with a hand held camera and a few trusting
friends. From the genesis of creating film and building off each experience,
Deep's films have impacted humanity on a global scale as he continues to
cultivate his craft and fulfill the passions that beat on his heart. "I want to tell
stories about the human experience and remind each of us that each breath of
life is a gift from above. It is precious, delicate, and worth the struggle to fight
for and embrace.”

‘Deep’ (James) was a name given to him because his films are described as
“deep” and so the name stuck. Never taking himself too seriously, the mission
is greater than the man, and that mission is to connect the viewer to films and
emotion, impacting on a few to impact the world.

Raking Leaves Productions is a independent film company founded by Deep
Williams in 2011. Since then, this Los Angeles based company has produced
several short films with the next film phase, its first full length feature film in
2016 entitled The Monarchs Whisper. The company's motto is "life creates film
creates life" and it is this commitment that RLP's strives to bring forth. Such
content that will encourage, uplift, and inspire humanity to not only look up but
to also look within.

RLP's film credits include other notable projects such as Palms and Tao of
Simon. These films been used to educate and promote forums for discussions
inside schools, churches, and other venues. Palms (a film based on adoption)
received top honors and won for Best Short film at the 2013 International
Family Film Festival. Tao of Simon (a film based on bullying and choices) has
been screened at several schools in the Los Angeles area and has been used in
several social studies curriculums and discussions with youth social gatherings.

His current film "The Sac Fly" has been accepted into the 2015 International Family Film Festival in Hollywood, CA. The film is inspired by a true story and addresses the subject of racism. His next project due to film as a feature in 2016 speaks on the matter of suicide. It is entitled "The Monarchs Whisper"
