After getting out in 2001 I found my creative self again and began acting. Passion overcame me and now I can't be stopped. I've landed myself in Colorado and absolutely love it... but I do miss the east coast! I spend my free time mountain biking, downhill mostly for those other MTBers out there! I'm looking forward to connecting with some talented and passionate filmmakers out there in the world, I enjoy every bit of the process!
Welcome to the family house Stage 32 Batya.

Expand commentHi Delonda! I am also just starting out and it is not an easy process. But I know it will be well worth it! Building a resume is the first step. If you don't have experience to put on it, then get training so people know you're serious. Workshops, acting classes, and independent student films are all great places to start. You will also need headshots from a professional photographer and have them printed professionally as well. Don't make the mistake I did by getting them printed at Walmart! Ha. In order to find these places go to the resource tab of http://peoplestore.net. and they have a list of reputable companies. Hope this helps and good luck!

Landed roles and got experience just going for it. I'd go to workshops and classes to really learn and try new things on the side. (don't sell yourself short by doing work your not comfortable with or screenplays you don't find valuable to yourself) Workshops are a great place to gain skills and get comfortable with yourself... one can always keep growing and learning! Good luck, and get out there! :)

Our Next Level Education has a 97% satisfaction rate and averages 4.5 out of 5 stars. Plus, we've had the honor to be called "LinkedIn meets Lynda.com for film, television and theater creatives" by Forbes Magazine.

This is a network for you, built by you. Like most things in life, the more you participate, the greater the rewards. We ask all new members to pay it forward by inviting 5 fellow creatives to the network and by spreading the word of Stage 32 through other social media sites such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter. The more creatives, the stronger the network. The stronger the network, the more opportunities.
Thanks for joining the movement and for being a part of this most talented and inspiring community. I very much look forward to your contributions.
Thanks, and have a creative day!
RB
