Yes, Van Gogh needs redemption. Maybe she can save him from killing himself, or at least make his life more bearable. Yes, going in and out of madness, he is not sure if she is real or an figure of his imationation. What these ?voices? are telling him I can not tell; I do not want to get too much into the story before it's shot.
