Hi Kelly. I'm RB, Founder and CEO of Stage 32. As a screenwriter, producer, actor and filmmaker, I know first-hand the challenges all creatives face finding work, landing representation, launching projects, securing funding and simply making the connections that will make a difference in their careers. That's why I created Stage 32. Since our launch in September of 2011, the community has grown to 1,000,000+ members representing every country on the planet making Stage 32 the social network uniquely populated with the most creative people on Earth.
This is a network for you, built by you. Like most things in life, the more you participate, the greater the rewards. We ask all new members to pay it forward by inviting 5 fellow creatives to the network and by spreading the word of Stage 32 through other social media sites such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter. The more creatives, the stronger the network. The stronger the network, the more opportunities.
Thanks for joining the movement and for being a part of this most talented and inspiring community. I very much look forward to your contributions.
Thanks, and have a creative day!
RB

Oh, yes, writing and editing have quite a lot in common - what made you switch to editing? Actually, I'd love for you to post in the Post-Production Lounge with your story about what drew you to it: https://www.stage32.com/lounge/post_production Maybe you could do a post in the Screenwriting Lounge about what writing has taught you about editing? https://www.stage32.com/lounge/screenwriting
Keep in mind that these lounges are like the VIP Filmmaker's Lounges at Film Festivals, so this is where you can meet the people doing the work, get advice on anything you're working on, and/or give back to those who may need advice. We're a very supportive and encouraging community! I think you'd also enjoy my blog post on how to get the most out of the Stage32 Community:

Enjoy exploring the lounges, and don't forget to comment and respond to others’ posts, too! It's the best way to really connect!

Thank you for the tips Karen! I'll be moving to LA before a somewhat longish stop in New Orleans. It's always been a dream of mine, I can't wait for borders to open...

Clearly, you have to get beignets from Cafe du Monde and ride a trolly, but most of the best stuff after that is just walking the streets and see what's popping. Oh, and try not to go during August. It is sweltering! LOL
