A group of community writers are to showcase their plays to the public. It's part of a project called Riverscribes set-up by the Riverside theatre in Hammersmith London. Each of the budding playwrights will present their scripts in 10 minute extracts at the Riverside on Saturday June 17. The authors and actors are from the Hammersmith and Fulham borough of London. They have worked and mixed together in the arts for some years ynuk.tv was invited to preview rehearsals.

Street reaction in London to Prince Harry and his comments have not won him too many friends. While there was some support for his book SPARE others believe his public revelations have gone too far.

On Sunday 6 April 2014, Dame Angela returned to the place where she grew up in London. It was to spend the day meeting and chatting with the locals and catching up on old times. At the time she was 88. Her first stop was the open air cinema in Chrisp Street Market. Here she introduced a free family screening of Bedknobs and Broomsticks. She even got to sit on the original bed again! The star later joined an audience at Spotlight. This was where she was ‘grilled’ by Sir Christopher...

Big Ben is unwrapped and ready to chime again.  It has been hidden since 2017 for repairs and will strike 12 bongs at Midnight 31 December to welcome in 2022.  The four clock faces are glimmering, glitzy and gorgeous. It is time for the People  to get their tower back. 

Cinemas in England are due to reopen 17 May 2021. Their doors have been shut for most of the past year. Netflix, Prime and Disney+ have won film fans as a result. So, will the big screen win them back? Our two expert film guests can help.

The statue was unveiled in North London in honour of Mary Wollstonecraft who died 223 years ago. She was an author and women’s rights activist in the area of Stoke Newington. A campaign group raised funds and commissioned well known artist and sculptor Maggi Hambling to create the structure. But to everyone’s dismay it turned out to show a tiny naked woman. A crowd gathered at the site where some spoke to ynuk.tv about their disappointment.

youngvic #theatre #celebrations The Young Vic may not be able to invite an audience inside to celebrate their 50th birthday but they can outside. On the massive wall of its building is a projection of past people and productions to honour all those that have appeared in their shows. Also three giant installations representing The Unforgotten and Black Lives Matter are also featured. ynuk.tv captured the show

diana #william #harry #royals A statue of the Princess of Wales is to be installed at Kensington Palace 1 July 2021. On the 20th anniversary of the death of Diana, Princess of Wales, Princes William and Harry commissioned the statue to mark the memory of their mother's tragic death. Kensington Palace - where the young royals lived with their mother - led the tributes by exhibiting her clothes. Diana died in hospital 31st August 1997 following injuries in a car crash in the Pont de l'Alma road tunnel in Paris, France.
