A group of community writers are to showcase their plays to the public. It's part of a project called Riverscribes set-up by the Riverside theatre in Hammersmith London. Each of the budding playwrights will present their scripts in 10 minute extracts at the Riverside on Saturday June 17. The authors and actors are from the Hammersmith and Fulham borough of London. They have worked and mixed together in the arts for some years ynuk.tv was invited to preview rehearsals.

On Sunday 6 April 2014, Dame Angela returned to the place where she grew up in London. It was to spend the day meeting and chatting with the locals and catching up on old times. The statue was unveiled in North London in honour of Mary Wollstonecraft who died 223 years ago. She was an author and women’s rights activist in the area of Stoke Newington. A campaign group raised funds and commissioned well known artist and sculptor Maggi Hambling to create the structure. But to everyone’s dismay it turned out to show a tiny naked woman. A crowd gathered at the site where some spoke to ynuk.tv about their disappointment.
