Christie’s in London are to auction guitars and amps from the personal collection of music legend Mark Knopfler. Frontman of the British band Dire Stratis, Knopfler has more than 120 for sale. They go under the hammer 31 January 2024. The guitar hero will donate 25% of the sale -estimated between £300 to £500,000 – to his supported charities.
One of the world’ greatest living artists has unveiled Bigger Christmas Trees at London’s Battersea Power Station. Commissioned by Apple David Hockney’s work was created on an iPad Pro using an Apple Pencil. Hockney’s stunning animation transforms the iconic 100-metre-high chimneys that overlook the River Thames.
Two actors who were in ITV’s The Bill bak in the eighties are to perform in The Merchant of Venice at the New Wimbledon Theatre London. A group of community writers are to showcase their plays to the public. It's part of a project called Riverscribes set-up by the Riverside theatre in Hammersmith London. Each of the budding playwrights will present their scripts in 10 minute extracts at the Riverside on Saturday June 17. The authors and actors are from the Hammersmith and Fulham borough of London. They have worked and mixed together in the arts for some years ynuk.tv was invited to preview rehearsals.

On Sunday 6 April 2014, Dame Angela returned to the place where she grew up in London. It was to spend the day meeting and chatting with the locals and catching up on old times.
