Alexandra is a writer, director, and actress living in New York City. Alexandra studied art and photography throughout her life, and attended UC Berkeley to study English literature and Japanese.She has written and directed numerous short films, the web series Lessons From My Early Twenties, and is in the midst of writing her first feature, In Sickness and in Health. In 2010, she won the audience award for her short anti-romantic comedy Violet Is Single at the Scary Cow Film Festival. She likes making movies that involve socially conscious themes such as race, gender, class, etc, and is fascinated by how technology is changing the world.
Today she works as a copywriter and blogger at DIRECTV where she writes marketing collateral for DIRECTV products as well as promotions for the latest shows on HBO, SHOWTIME, STARZ, The Discovery Channel, and more. As a blogger she has interviewed Fred Armisen, Justin Chatwin (Shameless), and documentary director Michael Galinksy (Battle for Brooklyn).
