About Chester
I'm a sociologist, screenwriter, freelance Web writer, and sometimes volunteer who loves to write sci-fi/action and dark fantasy.
In addition to the feature film scripts listed here, I have a sci-fi short script that's in the draft stage. I'm focusing now on two sci-features, on an original story in the vein of Aliens and an adaptation of a classic sci-fi adventure novel.
I grew up in Sarasota, FL and moved around, a lot.
In addition to my screenwriting and narrative fiction and nonfiction. I've started on a little world-building exercise. See for the details. If that little project sounds interesting, do get in touch. I want to create a post-apocalypse fantasy world online, but the Weebly site is about as far as I can go on my own. I'm aiming for a low-tech, grittier version of Rifts Earth if that helps.
I earned a PhD in Sociology back in 1999 and have done various things since then, like being a freelance writer, teaching, doing policy research, and working for the federal court system. I try to use what I've learned about sociology in my fiction.
Unique traits: Sociology background, familiarity with hard science fiction. supernatural horror, social science fiction, and extensive knowledge of RPGs (Rifts, Dungeons and Dragons, Gamma World, and more).
