Adela María Bolet is an actor with a wide-ranging international education in Europe and the Americas. In Madrid ,Adela Maria graduated at the age of 13 from the Royal Conservatory of Dramatic Arts and Dance. In parallel to her studies in international relations and law at Georgetown university in Washington DC and then at the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna, she continued her career as a soloist Spanish dancer. She also developed her contralto voice and her great love opera and choral singing with the New Jersey Opera chorus and Cantori New York. Adela Maria also directs her own multilingual voice over studio, Bolet Language Services where she practices her 5 languages and her bionic ears in wide-ranging projects for narration, dubbing and animation. She is the Castilian voice of Rosetta Stone, and the voice of Iberia airlines. As an actor, Ms. Bolet trained with Karen Kohlhaas , co-founder of the Atlantic Theater. She has appeared on the NY stage in Women Without Borders, a one woman show in which she portrays 8 characters. La Suegra in Lorca’s Bodas de Sangre, for which she was nominated for a best supporting actress award by ACE (Association of Latin Critics) , Yvette, in The Pickle Queen (Becket Theater), Innkeeper in La Strada ,Gabrielle in Mad Woman of Chaillot,(Atlantic Directors Workshop), The Singer in New Science for the Living Theater,, and Twefth Night (Central Park). Film credits include Thalia in Lunch Ladies, Doris’ Mother in Man at the Door, Mother in Drume, and Miriam in Hanna Henri .TV credits include the Maid in the pilot for ABC Twisted and a principal role on Law and Order SVU in an episode also featuring Sharon Stone and Isabelle Hupert.. Adela Maria is a member of SAG/AFTRA and AEA. Women Without Borders is her first foray as a playwright.
