Karen "Kay" Ross

Have you considered putting together a reel or short film as you playing Bond? Just so they can see you in the role on camera? I think that might help to show your chops!

Hugh Jezard

Good idea, onto it?

Hugh Jezard

Steve James, look at your comment one detects jealousy. Nothing constructive. I hope Stage32 bans you. It happens quite a lot.

Debbie Croysdale

@Hugh You’ve a lot of experience. Agree @Karen agents need show reel (or at least a self tape.) Cool you in background of “Other Boleyn Girl” that film was shown in Singapore 2008 and I remember one week air con in our office failed and I saw film every day. Striking photo!

Hugh Jezard

Thank you, Debbie confidence for me as starter in acting.

Matthew Cornwell

Like Karen "Kay" Ross mentioned, you need some proof of your skills and training.

And even with that, you're asking a major studio to place a global franchise on your shoulders, spending hundreds of million of dollars in the process.

Think of it this way. If you had flooding in your basement (like I've experienced this past year), you don't just ask some one off the street to come fix it. You want to research respected companies with years of experience before making your decision of how to spend your money.

Likewise, with the Bond franchise, they need to know whoever they cast already has reached celebrity status and will guarantee getting butts in seats so that the studio can recoup their money.

But back to what Kay suggested, grab a crew, cast, and short script and shoot a fan film that will double as your pitch. Even if you don't become the next Bond, you may open other doors. Either way, best of luck!

Hugh Jezard

Thank you for taking the time and effort and giving me your expertise. Maybe I'm jumping the gun I know. I just think of the Unknowns' that have become Bond more than one. Just so you know I have about 500,000 fans of sorts and Twitter Klout score higher than the last UK opposition candidate. Just so you know.
