As I’ve mentioned before, I’m originally from the planet Zog and have been living in Hong Kong since my spaceship crashed on Earth in 2006. I then went incognito as a science-fiction writer. Last month, my mechanic repaired my spaceship, but I only made it as far as Mars before I had to return to Earth due to a problem with the dilithium crystals (the new crystals from Zog are in transit).
Last week, I won the monthly Hong Kong Writers Circle contest for micro-fiction. Check out my 55-word story below (click on the link, then go to the bottom of the page).

My story, “Killing Hitler,” was accepted by the Hong Kong Writers Circle for publication in the Q4 (Dec 2023) issue of their magazine, The Apostrophe.

Alexandra Stevens I came here for work (financial services) and loved the place, though it has changed over the years. I started writing after I retired because I got bored. The Hong Kong Writers Circle is a fun group of people. I came up with the idea of the monthly 55-word contest.

Michael A. Clement hi again, Michael. The last I heard was that the Planet Zog had been destroyed by a giant orange alien with little hands!
Anyway, in other news, all is well where I live in Bristol, UK.

Michael A. Clement The 55-word contest is a great idea as no one can find an excuse to not write 55 words. However I guess it is an art in and of itself to condense a subject so succinctly

Alexandra Stevens Actually, 55-word stories are not easy to write, which is part of the fun. Did you read the story?
