I'm a 14-year-old future director-screenwriter. My Asperger's makes it very difficult for me to express my thoughts, for example, when writing.
I'm keen to start making films, but for some reason I'm terrified that my stories will seem too AI-generated. :(
I'm not asking for help or advice, I'm just sharing my experiences; And I wonder who else feels the same way.
Hi, Imola Orbán. Why are you terrified your stories will seem too AI-generated?

I don't think you need to have autism to find it difficult to express your thoughts -- put them on paper. It's never easy. Don't be afraid to make mistakes, writing is rewriting anyways. Buy a few books on screenwriting, "Save the Cat" etc, and read a lot of screenplays

Maurice Vaughan The ideas generated by AI are always so... clichéd. It's actually my scripts that I worry about in that respect. I fear that the dialogue will be too sterile and clichéd. AI generated stories are always like that lol
Why not write the scripts yourself or find a writing partner, Imola Orbán?

Maurice Vaughan I don't generate it with AI, I write it myself! I'm afraid that my writing will look like it was generated by AI!!!

Oh ok, Imola Orbán. You could read your dialogue out loud and get feedback on your dialogue to make sure it doesn't sound like AI-generated dialogue. And something I do to make my dialogue unique to each character is make sure I write each line based off a character's personality. A stern people will talk differently than a humorous person for example.

Imola, you are a Warrior. And Amazing...
Don't let the entirety of the narrative overwhelm you. Each ounce of creativity that pours from you has its own place in the bigger picture. There's a structure. And everything in its place.
Rutger Oosterhoff 2 is 100% right... Make notes. And organize.

Ditto. What app is that that you're using in that screenshot?
Looks similar to several I've seen, but not familiar with this particular one.

Michael David Are you sitting down? StoryBundler.com is my own platform. I built it to organize all of the hundreds of moving parts in the 92 pages that we write. You know them already. Narrative Structure, Act, Sequence, Beat, Beat objectives. Characters, Character Elements.
There are a whopping 2 users.
Michael if you have any interest at all, please, I invite you. Create an account. All yours. Free.
My hope is that it will help you even half as much as it has helped me.
StoryBundler.com
BTW: Forgot Password doesn't work. Write it down.
Cheers!

Hi Imola https://www.stage32.com/profile/1156640/about
That's what rewriting is for. Worry about how it looks after you've written it and rewritten it. Then fine tune it.

Daniel Doble Registered! But the pricing page shows a 404 error and "Master Builder" is locked. Is that the way it should be?

Daniel Doble BTW, I think it's super cool! (Forgot to mention that!)

Michael David Yes. There are some clean up items I will have to circle back around and work out. The core stuff all works great, been using it for 18 months. But I will remove the overhead flashing bell ad envelope and those hover menus. I may charge in the future, but you sir are in. N/C.

To put it bluntly, if you never feel doubt when dealing with your own artwork then you aren't trying hard enough.
Sometimes when I'm writing, I feel like I'm not being descriptive enough or that I'm not showing enough emotion or some other thing. In those moments, I sometimes make adjustments. Other times, I put it down and leave it for a while. And then other times than that, I simply say, "Screw it, we ball" and write what I initially wrote.
If you ever feel stuck, just know that it's part of the process and that every storyteller worth anything has been there at least once.
I hope this helps.

Fellow aspie here, honestly it's best not to overthink and just write down what you want/feel, then come back later with it with fresh eyes (I need to follow this advice myself more often too but I always enjoy returning to WIPs I made a while ago to find out they're better than I thought at the time!)

Also, I still do believe that generative AI is just a passing fad, it will eventually self-destruct through copyright infringements and environmental laws.
