I've participated in November Write Club for several years and it really works! This year my first goal is to complete by Nov. 20th the 5th draft of my inspirational screenplay set in Haiti (inspired by true events). I've been working with a literary manager mentor on it for a year, from outline to screenplay and thru each major revision. The exciting thing is she wants to send it out when revisions are done, and last week she said it's almost there! That's real motivation to get this draft done! After our call on Nov. 20, my second goal is to make the additional revisions she suggests and write a synopsis, by the end of November. If she says I need a pitch deck then I'll also work on that..

UPDATE ON NOV. -- I'm making progress on the 5th round of revisions for my feature, per my mentor's notes. Had some interruptions this week, so I'll have to double down and put in extra hours to finish this version of the script by Nov. 18 (due date for my next mentor call). But I perform best when a deadline is staring me in the face!
